Ingredients
For the coconut masala paste:
- 1 small bowl of shredded coconut
- 1 1/2 Tsp cumin seeds
- 1 Tsp coriander seeds
- 3 Garlic cloves
- 1 Small onion chopped
- 6 to 7 dry red chillies
- 1/2 Tsp turmeric powder
For the Sorak Curry:
- 2 Tbsp oil
- 1 Small onion chopped
- 3 Green chillies
- 1 Tbsp Kokam juice or 3 pieces of Kokam
- 3 Cups of water
- Salt to taste
Step by Step Instructions
- Blend all the ingredients mentioned above for the coconut masala paste to a smooth paste
and keep the masala paste aside. - Heat oil in a pan and add chopped onions and fry until transparent.
- Now add the blended coconut paste and mix well.
- Add 3 cups of water and ensure it forms a liquid consistency and boils on medium flame.
- Once the gravy begins to bubble well remove from heat and serve hot with rice or savor it like a soup.
Note:
- You can add vegetables of your choice to the curry as well however ensure that it is liquid consistency.
