Tandoori Chicken Recipe

  • 4 Large chicken pieces 
  • to taste oil

For the marinade:

  • 1 tsp red chilli paste
  • 1 tbsp ginger and garlic paste (adrak lahsun /allam vellulli)
  • 1/2 tsp chaat masala
  •  1  tsp tandoori masala
  • 1/2 tbsp oil
  • 1 tbsp curd (dahi/perugu)
  • to taste salt
  • 1/2 tsp lemon juice (nimbu)

Step by Step Instructions

  • Mix all the ingredients of the marinade and coat the chicken pieces with it lavishly. Leave for 30 minutes to an hour.

  • Roast the chicken pieces in a grill or rotisserie, applying oil or butter at regular interval. Continue the process till the chicken is cooked well and the outer surface is charred just a little.

  • Serve with chilled and sliced onion, mint leaves and lemon wedges. (optional: sprinkle readymade tandoori masala)

  • To be eaten paratha, butter roti or just by itself.
